Plan and Prep
• Choose a prominent, well-trafficked area where the projection will be highly visible, such as the side of a government building, landmark, or public square.
• Test the projection site in advance to confirm the surface is suitable (e.g., flat and light-colored) and ensure the image is clear at a distance.
• Use portable power supplies or ensure access to a reliable power source for the projector.
Visibility
• Use bold, concise text. No cluttered visuals that might be difficult to read from a distance.
• Maximize visibility with high-contrast design (like white text on a dark background or vice versa) and bright projection settings.
Technical
• Use a projector with high lumens (brightness) to ensure visibility, especially in urban settings with ambient light.
• Position the projector in a safe, concealed location to avoid confiscation or interference.
• If possible without detection, conduct a test run at the same time of day or night as the planned event to troubleshoot issues.
Amplify and Document
- Livestream or share images and videos of the projection on socials to broaden its reach and impact.
- Invite trusted press to amplify the message.
- Document the projection for use in future campaigns and as inspiration for others.
