About Ohm

We knocked, we called, we rallied, we gave, we voted. And still it happened: a dangerous authoritarian movement has taken power of the US federal government.

What the hell are we supposed to do now?

Ohm is a forum to capture and share crowd-sourced answers to that question. In addition to the usual tools—calling your reps, signing petitions, taking to the streets—there’s a groundswell of creative activism meeting this uniquely dangerous moment with ideas to Resist, Connect, Protect, Preserve, Protest, Pressure, and Support our way through it. Ohm brings them into one searchable space.

Register for free, then add an idea, take an idea, and upvote the best so they rise to the top. That’s the whole thing. No trolling or attacks, no calls to violence or felonies. Support each other. Do what you can. Be good humans. Become a unit of resistance.

Thanks for being here.

⚠️
A word of warning. There's a lot we don't know about the incoming regime, including how willing they will be to violate civil liberties to silence legitimate dissent. In ordinary political circumstances, being on a site that shares legal ideas for resisting authoritarianism should be entirely protected. But these are not ordinary circumstances.

So: Participate on this site at your own risk. It may be entirely safe to do so, or you may draw unwanted attention from an administration that no longer respects your right to actively dissent.

If the possibility of repercussions does not bother you, register under your own name and primary email. If you would prefer some cover, consider registering with a pseudonym, using a burner email, and managing your browser history.

Or don't register at all! You can always peruse the forum as a guest, though you'll need to register to contribute.
